The World Bank SCORE Program ESMF
he World Bank is in the process of launching a two-phased series of projects (SOPs) with the goal of supporting select core economic institutions linked to trade, financial sector and private sector development in Somaliland. The objective of the first phase is to improve the enabling environment for private and financial sector development and catalyze private investment and job creation. In order to mitigate potentially adverse environmental and social impacts associated with sub-projects under the Matching Grant Fund (known as the Business Catalytic Fund) an Environmental and Social Management Framework has been prepared and consultations were held in-country on October 27th in Hargeisa.
